WE ARE SO CLOSE TO OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL TO ESTABLISH PROTECTIONS FOR THE PEARL ISLANDS!
ABOUT THE CAUSE
Funds raised from this limited-edition book support Reserva: The Youth Land Trust’s collaboration with The Leatherback Project in Panama. We are working together to establish the scientific basis for the protection of a marine migratory corridor. We need the funds to purchase 10 satellite tags, which will be deployed on the backs of nesting sea turtles in Panama’s Pearl Islands. These tags will document the turtles’ migration routes, which will in turn inform the formation of a potential Marine Protected Area. You can read more about this project on our campaign page.
ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is the culmination of our Poem or Pay? fundraiser, which challenged participants to pen an ocean poem or donate to conservation and then challenge others to do the same. We have collected the resulting poems to create a beautifully illustrated keepsake that celebrates the beauty of our oceans and inspires hope for their protection. But more than that, the proceeds from this limited print run will support our Tracking Turtles to Protect Panama’s Pearl Islands project. We’re so close to reaching our fundraising goal, and you could help bring us over the finish line!
